In the Garden: Spring's Gentle Arrival
Rain splattered nights suddenly gave way to softly-sunny mornings. This morning when we opened the garden door... to an early spring! The cats tip-toed out and began sniffing curiously around the patio while the mounds of plastic, still covering the potted plants, were swept aside. Each day of pruning and replanting also revealed tender new shoots of green peeking up at a brand new world. The delicate seedlings are coo-ed over and coddled until they can withstand the strong spring winds on their own. Young plants aren't the only ones needing protection from the wind. A lovely knitted Raquel headband will protect delicate ears from that chilly wind. Pair the headband with Redheart's Easy Wristers and be fashionably prepared for all that spring brings. These projects also make a lovely donation to others who will need to stay warm. Find Knitting & Crocheting for Charity on Facebook to find out how to donate knitted items all year round. Oh, tea is ready so we shall join the group in the sitting room.
Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn't hurt the untroubled spirit, either.
